Allan has over 40 years of working in, and with, both corporate and sports teams and has been associated with the
pharmaceutical industry since 1982. In this time, he has been fully employed on two occasions: From 1982 until 2001 he had sales executive, regional sales manager, sales trainer, and team coach roles with Novartis (Ciba-Geigy-Zyma) and GSK (Allen&Hanbury, Glaxo, Glaxo-Wellcome). Following this he had a period of self-employment where he ran two consultancies, Performance Management Coaching (focused on Management Development) and Teambuilders International (focused on Team Development). He continued to work with pharma along with other industries and during this time he authored his first book, ‘The Successful Coaching Manager,’ became an elected member of the Professional Speakers’ Association and created a number of innovative coaching and team development models, such as OUTCOMES™ and PARTNERS™. He also became a Fellow of the Sales and Marketing Management Institute and completed his Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring. Allan re-joined the Pharma Industry full-time in 2009 and had key account management coach and regional sales manager roles with Grunenthal before ending his full-time pharma career as an L&D Trainer & Coach with Vifor Pharma in 2020. Following his move from full-time pharma, Allan set up Partners Team Development to focus on his true passions of management development and team performance. Allan is also a highly-rated conference speaker and has spoken at numerous pharma & other industry conferences across the UK, Europe, and India. His latest book, ‘Team Champion! –Taking Teamwork Seriously’ was published in June 2021.
